Taking a Big Step

I'm getting married in three days. Yep...three days. Three whole days. I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out how it all happened. One minute he was on one knee, the next I was three days away from the biggest event of my life (so far) and completely crazy with preparations and wondering if everything was going to be alright and in order and beautiful. What a whole lot of stress! Whose idea was it to make these events so stressful? Whoever it was, shame on them. This is supposed to be an exciting time and instead I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Maybe I will have time to be excited after the fact. Something to look forward to...

Changing the Sheets

I changed the sheets on the bed today. What is it about clean sheets that just makes you want to sink into the bed and just stretch out in awe of how good it feels? I always sleep better when the sheets are freshly changed. The night seem to lasts so much longer and my sleep so much deeper and more fulfilling. Often I wonder how many people share the same enjoyment. My cats like clean sheets to, although I think they enjoy the process of the changing of the sheets more. They always jump on the bed in the middle of the changing process and then they proceed to roll around and make it almost impossible for me to place each sheet properly. They tunnel in between the sheets like moles underground and pop their paws and heads out every now and again as if to surprise attack you. Silly kitties.
